AUGUST 23 -- This weekend marks the one-year countdown to Seattle's
celebration of the 2008 Gay Softball World Series.
Opening Ceremonies are set for Monday, August 25, 2008 - and to make the most of this historic event for Seattle's gay softball community, we need to raise $100,000.
To make all this possible, I'd like to ask that you join me as a partner in this event by becoming a member of the 2008 World Series Gem Club today.
During the Emerald City Classic earlier this summer, you saw the kind of enthusiasm that our league can generate. Now imagine 200 teams of players, all spending a full week (or more) in Seattle - not just a long weekend.
By joining the World Series Gem Club for as little as $15 per month, you can help showcase our local gay softball community to World Series visitors - and at the same time present a great event to be shared by the rest of the Seattle LGBT community, as well.

Although we're simultaneously seeking support from our business community - the success of our World Series is very much helped by the strong partners within our softball community and our friends.
